Client was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. The police found a pistol at the client’s feet in a vehicle where she had been a passenger. The client told police that the driver had thrown it there after the vehicle was stopped by police. Mr. Peterson was able to show with DNA and fingerprint evidence that his client never touched the gun and couldn’t have been in possession of it. The prosecutor dismissed charges.
